Bayside Advances helps businesses in Moscow, ID request business lines of credit: a revolving limit for uneven months, payroll gaps and recurring short needs. You pay interest on what you draw, and repaid draws free the limit again. A funding partner reviews deposits, receivables and credit, then decides and sets the limit, rate, draw period and renewal terms.
| Structure | A limit that refills as draws are paid down |
|---|---|
| Interest | Billed on drawn dollars, not on the full limit |
| Good for | Uneven months and repeated short gaps |
| Watch for | Renewal dates, draw windows and per-draw charges |

What a Business Line of Credit Is For
Which bills can a business line of credit carry? Anything short and recurring: payroll in a thin week, materials for a job that pays in 30 days, a supplier who offers a discount for paying early, or a repair you did not plan. The line suits expenses that come back around, because each repayment restores the limit for the next one.
It does not suit a single large project. Drawing the whole limit for a remodel and paying it down slowly leaves nothing for the uneven months the line was meant for. A term loan is the better tool there.
Seasonal Swings and Seasonal Employees
A seasonal line of credit is an ordinary line used around a predictable pattern: draw before the months when costs run ahead of sales, repay when sales catch up. Owners with seasonal employees can use it to carry extra wages during the stretch when the added hours are worked but not yet paid for by customers.
We do not have local data on which months are busy for which trades, so the pattern has to come from your own books. Partners may look at twelve months or more of deposits to see the swing. Bring them; a swing that repeats every year gives a partner a pattern to review.
Contractors are one example. See how contractors use a construction line of credit alongside equipment and payroll funding.
Business Line of Credit for Payroll
Is payroll a fair use for a line of credit? Yes; because you draw only the shortfall and only for the days you need it, interest is charged on less than a full lump sum, though fees and rates differ by offer. The discipline is repayment: if the line never returns to zero, the payroll gap is permanent and should be addressed in pricing or collections, not credit.
For a one-time payroll bridge tied to a specific contract, compare a working capital loan with a draw on the line.
The Life of a Line: Drawing, Paying Down, Renewing
Draw period on a line of credit: what does the term mean? It is the window during which you can borrow against the limit. Some lines revolve for a year and then come up for renewal; others have a draw period followed by a repayment period in which no new draws are allowed and the balance is paid down on a schedule.
- Draw: move money from the line into your account, often online
- Repay: payments reduce the balance and free that much of the limit again
- Review or renewal: the partner looks at the business again and may keep, change or close the line
- Repayment period (some lines): new draws stop and the balance amortizes
Working Out the Payment on a Drawn Line
Interest is charged on the drawn balance, not on the limit. Hypothetical illustration, not an offer: on a line with a 12% annual rate (a round figure chosen for easy arithmetic), drawing $15,000 for 30 days costs about $148 in interest (15,000 x 0.12 x 30 / 365). Some partners require a minimum monthly payment of interest plus a slice of principal; others require the draw repaid within a set number of days.
Ask each partner three things: how the minimum payment is set, whether fees apply per draw or per year, and what happens at renewal if revenue has dipped.
